The Winter Academy is a free guidance and development program offered by İstanbul Gelişim University for 11th graders, 12th graders, and recent high school graduates.
Led by expert psychologists and psychological counselors, the program is designed to support students' academic, personal, and career development.

At İstanbul Gelişim University, we regularly meet with high school students at a variety of events and platforms. In these encounters, we have observed how difficult it is for students to identify the fields in which they can succeed, to choose the fields they will pursue in the future, and, most importantly, to build a career plan.
As a university, we see helping young people, whom we deeply value, choose fields that match their talents and interests as part of our contribution to society. For this reason, since 2018 we have organized the High School Winter Academy for high school students, so that they can get to know academic programs up close before charting their career paths and make the most of their winter break.
This year, the courses offered at the High School Winter Academy ’25 combine content that is both informative and enjoyable, allowing students to gain knowledge and hands-on experience. Taught by İstanbul Gelişim University’s highly qualified faculty members, the courses give 11th and 12th grade students, as well as high school graduates not currently enrolled in any higher education institution, the opportunity to experience university life from January 28 to 31, 2025. Students may attend in-person workshop sessions.
Organized by İstanbul Gelişim University solely for the benefit of the community, the High School Winter Academy is entirely free of charge for all applicants. Students who complete the program receive a certificate of participation signed by Prof. Bahri Şahin, Rector of İstanbul Gelişim University.
